HDMI 4k headset problems

So I got a really annoying problem: I got a headset from Triton it is connected with HDMI and the max of this little box is 1080p so I can't run it with 4k (btw I got a 4k TV and it is the x) to solve this problem I bought a 4k HDMI splitter to connect both
if I connect it with the Xbox one x and the TV without my headset in the second port it works with 4k as soon as I put in the headset it goes down to 1080p so is there a way around or do I need a new headset ? Also I am from Germany you can answer in German
too I hope someone can help me

What big reveals are you hoping for?

4K Blu-Ray drive with 4K games, hdcp 2.2 hdmi outputs.

A wireless headset that doesn't go over both ears. A replica of the 360 headset that works on Xbox One. When will this ever happen? It's one of the most needed features. It's a disgrace there's no official headset. I heard MS designed Xbox One in a manner that
doesn't allow for true mono wireless headset like the 360. How short sighted?

Does the box have an optical input instead of HDMI? You could use that instead.

Yes but my headset doesn't have one ....

sry I didn't read it correct the box does not have any other than an HDMI in and HDMI output
