HDMI 1.4 capable of 120hz?

Hello, is it possible to reach 1080p@120fps/hz with HDMI 1.4? Unfortunately my monitor only has an HDMI 1.4 and DP 1.2 ports i'm looking to utilize the new 120fps options with the Xbox Series X but don't think that will be possible unless anyone knows
a way. My monitor is a Dell s2417dg, 2560 x 1440 at 165 Hz(with overclock) I mainly use it for pc never would have thought the next generation consoles would be capable of reaching above 60fps when i bought
it and i use Display Port so the Hdmi was something i never really cared about when buying a monitor.

Only one port on your TV is HDMI 2.1 and could support 120hz. The rest are HDMI 1.4

I believe that you need to have a monitor that is Freesync and Freesync has to be supported over HDMI, as well as, the monitor needs to have HDMI 2.0 ports and supports 120/144hz, looking at that, and being G-sync, it seems to have HDMI 1.4 ports which limits
it to 1440p at 60hz

A new monitor is needed if you want 1440p at 120hz,

my sons 1080p msi 27" monitor supports freesync and 144hz over hdmi, it also supports 120hz for ps5 and xbox series consoles too. this has hdmi 1.4. Also tested.
