  2. Xbox unable to read media files beyond 2TB in 4TB external HDD

I have a 4TB external HDD plugged onto my xbox one (1TB with 80GB space left). My external HDD is filled up with approx 2TB data. Now the new video files that i add on the external hdd is not being detected by any of the video players in xbox but they are
readable from my PC. The existing video files work fine in the xbox. How to fix the issue?

    External HDD after Xbox Partition

I have been using an external HDD to store movies/tv shows, etc. and they have always played fine on the xbox.

Ever since I partitioned a portion of the hard drive for xbox memory/storage (for GTA), any new movie that I transfer to the HDD will not play on the xbox, and if I plug the HDD into my cpu, and click the video file, it won't play (basically like it is an
    incomplete file).

Any video file that was on the HDD, before I partitioned a portion for the xbox, will still play without any problems.

Any ideas why any new file transferred, won't work?

    External drive

If you want to play games your harddrive must be formatted just for games. You cannot have another files while you have games on the HDD. You can have files on your hdd when you are using it just for video recording

Can't get Xbox One S to see all media on 4TB USB HDDs

It isn't for applications, I'm using it for media files (mainly music and videos). All of my applications are stored on the internal Xbox HDD.

    External hard drive xbox one

    Hi!

Unfortunately an HDD for X360 is not compatible with X1. The HDD must be USB3.0 and formatted as NTFS file system. The X360 uses only FAT32 (it suitable only for storing photos, music and videos, but not for installing games on X1).
