I have a xbox 360, where the can be detach a hdd on the side of it.... i have the original xbox360 hdd, 1 with 60gb, 1 with 120gb, but I can't...     do you have the xbox 360 S? or the old big original xbox 360? cause the old HDD have a special emulator file that lets you play the original 360 games, dont remember if the newer 360s have that file on their HDD

    Verdict: since my original gtag 1 was never online i have to use a transfer cable to transfer profiles from my original rrod hdd to the current xbox.

    Problem: the transfer willt be a full data transfer not partial, from my original 60g hdd to my 4g slim. NOT possible.

    Solution: purchase xbox 250g or + HDD, replace 4g hdd with 250, purchase 1x slim to slim hdd transfer cable, transfer current profile from 4g HDD to new 250+HDD. Purchase Xbox360 original hdd to Xbox360 slim hdd transfer cable, Transfer profile from original
    360 hdd to 360 slim with new 250g hdd, merge profiles

    providing I remember the password.

    Ouch.

    yes any HDD should work with the corresponding Xbox. For example, i bought an Xbox Arcade and later when i got Xbox live, i bought a 250GB HDD and used it with my Xbox and it works fine. also if you have the original make of the Xbox 360 make sure you buy
    the original make HDD because im pretty sure they are different HDD's between the original make of the 360 and the Kinect make.
