HDD in Xbox One X failed. Now what?

I have an Xbox One X Scorpio Edition, working without problems from the first day, No issue, no noise, no network fails, no hdd fail, I don't know if I'm lucky.

Third Xbox One since Christmas.....So far no issues what so ever. External HDD working fine and showing everytime......Hopefully I have a good one now and it doesnt fail me.

Are you worried about losing your game saves?

If so, game saves are saved on the cloud. If the hard drive fails and you need to replace the console, you would just have to redownload items to the new console.

Not concerned about game saves at all. I'm aware of saving online. I'm more concerned about the few unfortunate people whose systems HDD fail just outside of their warranty. The warranty will be void so they can attempt to replace it themselves but most
people wouldn't have the savvy to do this themselves forcing them to pay Microsoft or someone comfortable to do it. Of course a knowledgable friend can do this for free too. But my point/concern is for such a huge physical system that could have easily supported
user replaceable HDD, they made the most likely component to fail (the HDD) not user-friendly to replace forcing those who experience a failure well before the HDD MTBF but after the warranty expires the potential inconvenience of having to pay for both parts
and labor. Now I understand sometimes, ish just happens and the drives fail; more often than most other computing components. But given failure rates of HDD's by comparison, the drive should be user-swappable or at least, Microsoft should not charge for labor
of drive replacements for a longer period than the standard 1 year warranty. I can understand charging for parts. The $80-$130 are both far more than what the 500GB 5400 RPM drive costs.

Greed ? Next revision will come up with bigger internal hard drive, many people who are tech dummies gonna go buy a new one
