Installed game still reads from the disc drive.
No, I have the DRIVER SF game disc. And i have the game installed to my HDD, But it still reads the game from the disc drive instead of the HDD.
Are you sure the drive is spinning constantly while the game is running?

The disc should spin up for an initial read. The latest update to the copy protection system also allows the game to perform disc checks while the game is running, however the game disc should not be spinning at 12x constantly.

Compare the sound of the drive spinning when the game is installed to the HDD to the sound of the drive when the game is not installed to the HDD. There should be a difference.

  3. Safe to install to harddrive?

Actually I believe it was the original Halo 3 game disc (campaign) that was not recommended to be installed to HDD. After that, came ODST which had a small tag on the case that said "optimized for hard drive".

The reason H3 wasn't recommended to be installed to your HDD was because the developers made the game before the 'install to HDD' option was available on the Xbox 360, so the devs didn't 'design the data layout' on the game disc to be installed. It was designed
to be read from your optical disc drive. Therefore the data on the H3 disc isn't 'optimized' to be installed and load times are actually shorter and smoother when the game is not installed.

This is no longer an issue for pretty much any new game that has been produced after the devs were aware that games can be installed to the HDD, so you should have no worries with installing Halo 4.

  4. hdd driver can not be installed for games

To use a hard drive for game storage, it must meet these two requirements:

    - It must be at least 256GB in storage size.

    - The hard drive must be in an enclosure that supports USB 3.0, and connects to the Xbox with a USB 3.0 cord.

If at least one requirement is not met, the storage device will default to basic media storage only.

No, I have the DRIVER SF game disc. And i have the game installed to my HDD, But it still reads the game from the disc drive instead of the HDD. The game disc was in my XBOX the whole time.

Performance of my pc after some time playing games

Yes. You can back up/move any of your games on the SSD to the HDD (as long as you have the required space). This will not affect a clean install of Windows on the SSD. It doesn't matter if the driver is internal or not.

Unfortunately some games installed via the Xbox app may not be recognised after a clean install. There should be no such issues with games installed via Steam, Epic, GoG etc.
