HDCP not letting me watch my Blu Rays

I am livid. I've tried every worthless help topic on here. I own the Blu Ray, I own the Xbox, why can I not just watch it. Nothing is ever that easy with the Xbox.

I have my Xbox directly connected to my TV. No, switching HDMI ports did nothing. Neither did restarting the console, reinserting the disc, and the whole process that Microsoft says will work.

And I am in fact using the original cable. It should be as plug and go as could possibly be, and instead I've wasted an hour of my time on it.

Hi I have been watch UHD blue-ray disc fine just Friday night I get error"Disc Stopped. Make sure that your TV's HDMI input supports HDCP rights management. If not, try plugging your console into a different TV input." now
even normal blue-rays movies don't work . I see that this problem has been going on for some time and the fix that Microsoft list does not work can someone please help because the main reason I got a Xbox S was for the UHD Blue-ray player .my TV is LG 55uh617v
and it does support HDCP

Heya cole2999.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having! Have you possibly tested a different HDMI port on your TV? If there's no change with that, it may be worth testing a different HDMI cable with your console as well. Keep us in the loop with how it goes

Sorted it.

I run my 360, PS3 and my Xbox One through an Elgato Game Capture HD. It turns out that HDCP is enforced when watching movies and using Netflix so that's what was causing it. I'm an idiot.

I'll just carry on using my PS3 as a Blu-ray player. ^_^

I have hdmi 2.0 and hdcp 2.2 on my tv

65UB9500 look up specs- hdmi2.0 and hdcp 2.2 on 1 hdmi input buddy. I stresm netflix. I did my research before buying. My bro has a 2013 uhd tv but only hdmi 1.4 and no hdcp 2.2 copy protection. I just watched The Martian on UHD Blu-ray- had HEVC codec
which is whst uhd uses. I know more than youll ever know about uhd.

Snap! Same thing here as well. Since when does my blu-ray player dictate to me when and when can I watch a movie!

Deleted the app thinking there was an update since the latest firmware and now can't even find the blu-ray app in the store?!
