HDCP issues with Live TV only

I tried resetting the cables again, followed by an app reset, which seems to have worked. If I power cycle the xbox or put in stand by then the error comes back.

Again Like ManhattanSonatta when I come up from the low power state the Error meessage from My TiVo box is showing tabout HDMI not working.

Have had the Xbox since Last December and have only been having this problem in the last 3 weeks.

 

I just had to search out this issue as well. I am getting the exact same thing. What I found that works to reset the HDMI is >Settings>Display and Sounds> change input back and forth between auto and hmdi>then going into the TV app, usually will bring back
the TV picture... That or a hard boot of the xbox one. I have not tried quitting the TV app, I will try that next time. Started happening with the latest July update, before, never had this issue..

Also, resetting just the cable box doesn't work. I have to change/reset the Xbox for the TV to come back.

Same issue with Cincinnati bell fioptics Cisco Explorer 8642hdc. Either switching inputs again or reinserting hdmi fix it,but this happens every day. Cable company has been out once and replaced box but did not help.

 

Misses Quinzel. Dish hopper now has to use HDCP for Disney after their recent agreement with them. I can confirm that a hard power off will reset the connection enough (my set up is dish/x1/tv) until the next sleep. then after next sleep (or soft off,
in instant on mode) it has the issue again. Seems like it should be fixable with a patch.

Hey everyone. I have been having issues with watching tv when I wake the xbox up using voice or by touching the button. I want to be clear this is only when I am in instant on mode. Prior to the July update the issues were still there but the DVR would
not display the HDCP error. By HDCP error I mean the same one Misses quinzel has been referring to. I am using Xfinity with the Cisco RNG200N. My TV is a samsung plasma, don't have model right now.

The easiest way to fix this is to simply unplug the HDMI cable (does not matter if it's the input or output) and plug back in. Yes it's easy to do but to have to do this EVERYTIME is just insane. Prior to the July update live TV would display a black screen
but the sound would work. Same fix was used, unplug the HDMI cable and reconnect. If the Xbox is turned to energy saving mode then the issues do not appear. I believe this has to do with the HDMI handshake that occurs when the Xbox wakes up. Especially
if the fix involves unplugging the HDMI cable.

Misses Quinzel is that sufficient? Please get these people to fix this crap. The biggest media feature that Msoft pushed so hard is broke, and has been broke. And they wonder why sales are not on par with PS4.

 

You could also try quitting the tv app then turning the cable box off for 15 seconds then turn it back on and restart the tv app and see if that works.

 

Yes I agree but just like many posts said this is a temporary fix. I think we all know how to get it to work but that's not the problem. It's a broken feature that needs to be fixed by software revisions.

 

I'm also having HDCP issues ("HDMI connection not permitted" messages after waking up from sleep). I have a TiVo Premiere XL with Comcast cable TV service.
