HDCP Error (BenQ RL2455HM, Cisco 4742HDC)

So today I wanted to set up the TV feature on my Xbox One. I looked up the guides on how to do it, hooked up my Kinect that came with my Xbox for the first time and it worked perfectly. I went to go eat dinner, and when I came back I wanted to disable using
the Kinect as a mic since I am already using a headset. When I went back to the TV app, an error popped up, it said:

Attention

The set-top's HDMI port requires an HDCP-compatible TV input. Please switch to a compatible TV input or do not use the set-top's HDMI port. If your TV's inputs supports HDCP, the HDMI cable may be at fault.

Now, I've done everything from switch the codesets to switching HDMI cables. Nothing has worked, the error still pops up on my screen. My screen was pitch black at one point, but it seems that I have resolved that issue. I don't understand how one second,
it could be perfectly fine, and the next, there's snow on the screen every 20 seconds and the same error pop-up shows constantly.

I am using a BenQ Monitor, and a Cisco 4742HDC set-top box.

If there are any fixes, future updates to rectify this issue, then I would be appreciative to be informed of any as I was looking forward to watch TV on my console and play games/talk to friends in between commercial breaks.

Advice for new TV or computer monitor for Gaming

Hey Respected let me know how the BenQ RL2455HM 24" monitor turns out im looking at either that or the gaming comp monitior.

Update: The reason the Xbox Live TV function was not working was due to my Elgato Game Capture HD being hooked up. Everything is now resolved.

Oh that's right.

I can confirm Stumblinh with the Cisco 4742HDC and "2d". When my problem ocurred the 4742HDC would go back and forth between the time and "2d" in the display

So this is what it is like to feel old. Remember the days when we had hooked our game console to whatever tv was around and didn't care past that point?

Anyway, joking aside... The RL is more suited for PC gaming while the GL is more for common uses. Not sure where you read the GL did not have HDMI ports but...it does. Personally Id go for the RL just to have most points covered.

Obviously you should go with the one that has two HDMI ports.

No HDMI = no purchase (because without it, there's no HD resolution); I think this is an easy decision, buddy.
