HDCP Connection Lost When in Standby

After one year with my current setup, I have recently started getting an error from my cable box saying "Lost connection with HDCP device. Trying to re-establish connection." Let me start by describing my setup and finish with what I think is causing the
    problem along with possible remedies.

I have a cable box that supports component and HDMI outputs, so I decided to run the HDMI to my Xbox and the component to my Onkyo TXNR636 so I don't always have to have my Xbox on when I want to watch TV, but I can still watch TV through my Xbox if I choose.
Unfortunately, the error message I described above has started appearing on my TV within the last month when watching through the component connection. At first I thought I might be able to fix the problem by replacing the HDMI cord running from the cable
box to my Xbox, but I noticed that the problem appears to fix itself if I have my Xbox completely powered down (not in standby) or if I have the Xbox turned on.

Does anybody know why I am receiving this error and/or how to remedy the problem?

    :)

I get the above message on my LG Tv which I know supports HDCP (Even though this means nothing to me).

It's usually fixed by turning TV off and on and it only occurs with APPS and sometimes DVD's.

The problem I have is when you start a programme on iPlayer it loads up then you can't hear the sound when the programme starts, turning TV of and on fixes this because it allows the TV programme to carry on playing.

On other Apps such as 4OD when you turn the TV off and on to restore my HDCP it puts you back to the 4OD home screen. I get the sound back until I click the programme again.

    What can I do?

I'd say to try either a different HDMI cable, or a different port on the TV. There may be something going wrong in the connections in the cable that carry the HDCP encryption.

    Blu-ray App Error 0x91d7000a

I had this error today. I traced it to the TV. it had locked up the HDCP handshake. I turned the TV off completely at the wall (standby won't fix it) and when I turned it back on the Blu-Ray played correctly.

XBOX ONE LOSING TV / CABLE SIGNAL

+1 i am seeing the same issue with the general release. It appears it wasn't addressed prior to the update. It appears the X1 is not addressing the HDCP handshake.

Here are a few things i have tried to narrow down the X1 as the cause.

    1.) Standby Cycle the X1

    2.) Standby Cycle the STB

    3.) Hard power Cycle STB

4.) Disconnect HDMI from X1 and reconnect,

5.) Connect Xbox 360 in place of STB.

6.) i have also replaced HDMI cables and checked the STB without the X1 in the middle.

    Resoultion: Hard Cycle the X1

    Automatic Game Updates

Same sort of thing for me. Forza 5 update today, turned on Xbox and was expecting Forza to be updated considering the update was out 6+ hours before and I had to wait for Forza to download the update after I had switched on the Xbox. Ive got the Xbox set
to "Instant On" and the "Auto download" set to on. Main system update from the other week was fine as that downloaded overnight and when I switched on the Xbox it was installing it straight away.

My question as well is if the Xbox is in standby mode should it still be connected to the router via wifi? My router shows a list of connected devices. Xbox in standby mode isnt shown on the list and so isnt connected via wifi, yet my PS4 in standby is shown
connected via wifi to the router. So should the Xbox be connected on wifi all the time when its in standby or just when its physically on? If its not connected via wifi when its in standby how does it get updates?

if i wait for the update to install 100% before starting the game, will it work fine?

let it update and play after 100%. i did this and lost nothing and have no problems so far (touches wood)

on the subject of updates, was the xbone not supposed to do game updates in the backround as long as it was on standby mode and connected to the net?
