  1. HDCP 2.2 right management error Series X, Samsung Hw-K850 Soundbar

I used the Xbox One S flawlessly since when it was launched with this Soundbar and Dolby Atmos. Now, with the Series X I cannot watch my blurays and 4K blurays. I get HDCP rights management error. I plugged it in my TV and it works. But won't get Dolby Atmos. This is clearly a software issue on the Series X as the much inferior One S used to work flawlessly. Not having Dolby Atmos and 4K through my bluray collection is a major downgrade for me going from One S to Series X.

Why does Xbox not support CEC / ARC.. ??? If I had known I had never bought the xbox x

If your receiver supports hdcp 2.2 (which almost any new reciever on the market does) it will pass through 4k content with out down grading it. Arc is very finicky in the first place and not even the TV manufactures have perfected it. That's why a lot
of tv sales man and woman will still recommend digital optical audio out. But on the flip side. I have personally hooked up a xbox one x to a samsung q8fnb ran arc out to a samsung n850 Dolby atmos soundbar and had the audio pass through to the soundbar with
    out any issues.

Does your tv have an HDMI ( HDCP 2.2) input? That's the input I use for my Samsung 4K bluray player.

    Hdcp error playing bluray

What is the model of your TV? The Xbox One S/X requires an HDCP 2.2-compliant display in order to play 4K movies. An HDCP error on the Xbox One may indicate that your TV is not compliant with HDCP 2.2, or
it's at least not enabled over the specific HDMI input.

You can buy a splitter to ignore/bypass HDCP requests, but I do not know how well that works.

    Samsung KS8500 4K Issue

Hey, in order for 4K to work, all devices must have HDCP 2.2. 4k content makers use this software to protect its 4K content. The Xbox One S has HDCP 2.2 but your TV may not have it. Check in your manual or call samsung and ask them. I actually ran into
the same problem. I bought a 4K UHD HDR compatable denon a/v receiver. But for some reason it did not support HDCP 2.2. So now I have to directly connect the Xbox to my TV. My LG TV supports HDCP 2.2.

    I hope this helped
