HBOGO ERROR - Video Player Error

And the problems with HBOGO and other streaming apps like Amazon Instant Play continue. Getting constant buffering and only 1 bar until it crapped out with an error message that says, “Sorry the HBOGo Server isn't available right now. Please try again later.
For more info go to www.xbox.com/status.”

Well nothing posted over there about HBO GO being down... anybody over there at MS looking into these stream issues and the constant buffering? Not getting HD quality and now it's not even working!

HBOGO App Video Error?

For the last two weeks I have not been able to watch anything on HBOGO. Literally every time I try and watch something a message saying Video Error pops up. Please Help

 

HBO GO and Netflix work great on my 360, but do not work on my Xbox One.

I am having trouble streaming on my xbox one. Neither netflix or hbo go work on my xbox one, but work completely fine on my 360 with the same logins and hdmi cables. I have tried power cycling, reinstalling the app, and have tried different hdmi cables.
Nothing has worked.

For netflix the video begins to play, but after about 5-10 seconds after the video starts, an error message pops up saying "Sorry we are unable to play this title at this time".

For HBOGO the video also begins to load by showing 3 blue circles at the bottom of the screen but then an error message pops up saying "Video Error, We are unable to play this title at this time"

Again both apps work perfectly on my xbox 360, but refuse to work on my xbox one.

G'day W A I N G R 0! Are you still experiencing those streaming issues? And is it only happening with HBOGO, or are other apps affected as you say? If it's happening in multiple apps, then this issue may be coming from somewhere in the network connection.
Have you reset your modem and router recently? Give these steps a shot and let us know if they help!

• Clear your console's cache and then turn off the console.
  
• Unplug the console, router, and modem from power and wait 2 minutes.
• Plug in your modem and allow it to boot up completely.
• Do the same for your router, and then for your console.
• Try streaming some video content again.

 

I have been getting the same error, what is the resolution?

Since it's been a couple days since you posted, are you still experiencing this error? If so, I would suggest giving the steps Misses Joust listed above a shot.

This worked for me after a week of being down and trying all of the above:

System Settings > Storage > Hard Drive > Games and Apps > HBO GO (Y - Game Options) > Delete

Your mileage may vary.
