HBO Now Service Code error

As of about a month ago, getting a "Service Code" error when trying to watch most things on HBO Now on our Xbox One. There is a long sequence of numbers and letters that follows the service code, the sequence changes slightly each time. Occasionally am able
to watch a movie but it's rare, nearly everything results in that service code error. Have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, anyone else seen this issue?

HBO NOW strange behavior

From a cold boot of my XB1 I can not go to HBO NOW without getting an error about service not available.

If I immediately go to Netflix, start streaming and quit out of Netflix, then go back in to HBO it will work fine.

If I restart the XB1 the behavior begins all over again.

To narrow this down, is this the only streaming app that you're experiencing this issue with? Any issues with Netflix, YouTube, etc.?

It is the only streaming service we're having trouble with, and it's only on the Xbox One. We can successfully watch the HBO Now app on our phones and computer. I have a case open with HBO Now but their responses are becoming fewer and farther between, with
no help so far. Only that they don't even know what the Service Code error is.

 

We also recently attempted uninstalling and leaving the app uninstalled for a handful of days before reinstalling, with the same result. Still receiving a service code error when trying to watch.

 

I’m having the same problem. HBO Go and Now. I’ve been talking to people at HBO and I’m guessing it’s not on their end but please keep us posted.

Has anyone talked to anyone at XBOX?

 

For me all our other apps like Hulu and Netflix and Amazon Video all work fine. It’s just HBO and it just started recently in the past few weeks.

 

I've opened a case with HBO - they've not been any help and at this point aren't even responding to my requests for an update. I also opened a case with Xbox and my confirmation email said "As per our conversation today, we will raised this issue to our
games and apps specialist and once we have the result or the investigation is finished., we will email you once again." That was on April 3rd. We're going on about two months now of not being able to use this App.

 

SnailHatan53, are you getting that same Service Code error when trying to play something as well?
