HBO Now not true HD quality

Discus and support HBO Now not true HD quality in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; Since HBO Now's introduction to the Xbox One, I have been unable to stream clean video for shows.     HBO Now not true HD quality


    Since HBO Now's introduction to the Xbox One, I have been unable to stream clean video for shows. It shows as HD, but is constantly a fuzzy/blurry stream, nowhere close to the crisp HD I get from apps like Netflix, Vudu, Amazon or Hulu. I figured this would
    be ironed out by now, but it hasn't. I'm able to stream 4k no problem and my two apple TV's (gens 3 & 4) stream HBO Now content flawlessly - the difference is night and day to the One's app. I'd love to stop having to change sources if this could be investigated
    or forwarded to HBO's app developers (whichever side the issue lays on).

    This was an issue on my launch Xbox One as well as my new Xbox One S.

    My hbo go app has the worst quality, thought it was my xbox slims wireless card crapping out so I hookd up a wire and it still rarely goes hd....... Sucks

    I'm in the same boat... HBO GO quality is terrible, even after the update. I'm getting 25DL/25/UL speeds and it still isn't HD.. don't have this issue with the Netflix app at all.

    Support for the app says contract your TV provider if issues persist.

    I'm in the same boat... HBO GO quality is terrible, even after the update. I'm getting 25DL/25/UL speeds and it still isn't HD.. don't have this issue with the Netflix app at all.

    Screen auto-dimming after 10 minutes

    Xb1 is about the last big device to get HBO Now, and it doesn't even work right. It also, completely locks up frequently, and the video quality is often awful (I never have such poor picture quality with Apple TV).
