HBO Now App - Screen Time Out

Just updated the app this evening. Something changed between last week and this week. The video goes dim after a while. Video playback continues, the screen just gets dim. Haven't timed exactly how long it is when it happens, but it appears to be about every
15 minutes like it does when the Xbox is inactive. Touching a button or moving a stick brings it back, just like it was inactive.

HBO Now app on Xbox 360 got stuck on Authenticating

my HBO Now app on Xbox 360 got stuck on Authenticating screen...what can I do?

 

Does the HBO Now app support 5.1 audio?

Will the HBO Now app produce 5.1 (or better yet 7.1) audio out to my AV receiver via HDMI?

Or is it just stereo like the Chromecast HBO Now app?

 

Looks like it's about every 10 minutes. It's only happening on the HBO Now app. It doesn't do it on YouTube, Netflix, or Amazon.

 

I notice it did the same thing too. I thought my tv local dimming was going out. Just had to tap a button on the remote and it would light up again.

 

Doing the same to mine aswell.

 

Whatever the issue was, it appears to have been fixed in the last update.

 

It does happen with Netflix too! Started for me yesterday evening. About every 10 minutes, after having pressed the enter button, which brought the light back. After having read a lot of posts about the issue, I have to conclude it happens with all sorts
of apps. Today I pulled out the power and and started up again. I've now looked on an episode from Outlander for 30 minutes, and there's been no dimming. Hope it lasts!
