HBO GO not working on Xbox 360

Hi, I haven't been able to use HBO GO for about a year now. I've tried deleting and re-downloading it but it still didn't work. Although, the error message is different on mine than others that have posted on here. It says "Video Player Error: Sorry, the
HBO GO server isn't available right now. Please try again later. For more information, go to www.xbox.com/status." I've checked the status, and everything is fine. Every other video app works fine, as well as HBO GO on my phone works as well.

 

It is not working for me. I will try the DNS solution posted earlier, but you should know that the problem is persisting. I agree wiht others that you should not list the app as working when it is not for some people

 

I am still having the same message appear: "The HBO GO server encountered a problem with the last request. Please try again later. For more information, go to xbox.com/status"

I've been getting that for about a month now, and I've tried the uninstall, system cache clearing and all that.

 

I have also been having this issue. Tried changing DNS to suggested ones, clearing cache and reinstalling app, the whole nine yards. No luck for me. This seems to be a widespread problem going on for a while now...

 

Been down for about 3 weeks for me, tried delete/reinstall, tried clearing cache, even tried changing DNS servers to three different combinations located in the reddit thread, but to no avail. Is there nothing else I can do?

 

I am still getting this error, have been for almost a month now, I just haven't reported it hopping it would get fixed, but still no go. I have deleted the app and reinstalled, tested my network, I can access it through any other medium. I can not access
it on either of my Xboxes, on either of my live accounts.

 

I have this problem too but I'm also having problems with YouTube, it starts up fine but my sub list will not load and most thumbnails don't pop in anymore.

 

HBO Go first started with an authentication issue. I approved the device on my laptop, then it went to grab content then gave me the Error with request, try again later or check the status @ xbox (paraphrasing)

I have tried religiously every 2-3 days. Still nothing. Removed apps, deleted files, redownloaded.

The instant the new app starts it just says error with my request. New app does not give me an activation screen, just the error.

This problem was reported fixed in another threat on 3/25; but this is not for me. What steps need to be taken to fix it?

 

Not working for me either. One week ago I was able to get on by spamming the "Retry" button. Do I need to mess with my DNS settings or what? I've never had problems with HBO Go like this before.

I am near my xbox during days, give me a call and I would be happy to let a MS tech review my settings.

 

Here's a few serious questions: why do Xbox and HBO not seem to know *anything* about this and why did I have to read a Reddit thread to fix this problem?

 

Okay, now HBo Go's picture has gone out. Only audio. Although this might be Scientology's doing because they are not happy with Alex Gibney's HBO doc that just came out.

 

Level3's DNS servers worked for me. When I used OpenDNS, I still got the request timeout error.

 

Mine is still not fixed, Same problems, Same steps to try to fix,

 

And this is one of the many reasons I'm done with Xbox as a whole. Even though before I let my gold run out I was a loyal fan boy subscribed since half way through the original xbox's life span.
