HBO GO app is constantly buffering on Xbox One

I can watch the app on iPad and my phone with no problems, but it is constantly buffering on the Xbox One. It is terribly frustrating and distracting.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a solution?

If it is a matter or clearing the cache for the app, how is that done on the Xbox One?

Hbo Go app is virtually impossible to watch. I tried the steps on another thread: uninstall app, hold Xbox button until it turns off then unplug Xbox for a few mins, plug back in and turn on, re-download app. It doesn't work comes back in a few days

 

HBO GO app absolute garbage

This is more of a rant, as for the past year+ HBO Go has been a buffering POS of an App. It seems its widespread buffering issue still hasn't been fixed, as each week when it occurs, and I google the issue hoping for an answer, I still find no solution.
Xbox/Microsoft, can you PLEASE have HBO get their *** together and have a functioning app in 2016. Netflix/Hulu/Amazon all work 100%. Its in-excusable for HBO not to be able to run correctly this late into the Xbox One's production.

 

I just tried to watch Veep and it was buffering nightmare. Would love to hear a fix...

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. If you're still experiencing this, I would suggest trying out these steps below to see if we can get this sorted for ya!

• Uninstall the HBO GO app.
  
• Power Cycle your Xbox One console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds.
  
• Once your console is completely off, unplug the console from the power source and give it a few minutes.
  
• Then, plug all the cords back in. turn the console back on.
• Reinstall the HBO GO app.
  
• Try launching HBO GO and use it as you normally would.

After trying out those steps above, keep us in the loop and let us know if does the trick for you or not. Thanks!

I am having the same problem. The app works fine on both my phone and tablet. It constantly is buffering when accessed thru my xbox1. It is unwatchable, I've tried the steps suggested above and still the same god awful result. Please fix!!

 

Same problem over here too, incredibly annoying. HBO go is unwatchable like this.

I tried what support recommended above, not change whatsoever.

 

Exact same issue one both my Xbox one consoles and my 360... Tried the fix suggested above. Didn't work at all

 

Tried the suggestion above and no change in the crap buffering , is this an xbox connection issue or a hbo go app issue?? Please fix ASAP as this is bad publicity for either xbox or hbo. Ipad works perfectly, are you telling me apple is better? Let's get

Netflix is fine. Amazon is fine. AT&T cable is fine. Xbox music is fine. HBO Go seems to be the only variable. Get someone to fix this ASAP.

 

I'm in the same boat. Can we please get an answer back from Xbox? This is very frustrating.

 

Question for others on this thread: who's your internet provider? I have AT&T Uverse, and I read on another forum that they might be restricting bandwidth to HBO Go, hoping the milk cash out of them a la the Netflix deal. At least in my case, where all
other internet app & activities seem to work find, this might make some sense...
