HBO GO acting buggy

I'm not sure if anyone else is having the same problem, but whenever I rewind a movie in the HBO GO app an error code message pops up. It reads:

Can't Play Video

We're having trouble playing this video. Please try again later. (Command to press OK)

Service Code: H-40cc143b-42f2-475a37-994bb9c8737l

Once I press OK or A to accept the command, I try a few minutes later to replay the movie and I get the same message. I get this message repeatedly, and the movie still will not play. I've tried the troubleshooting steps from the HBO GO FAQS section (quitting
out of app and restarting app, deactivate/uninstall then reinstall/reactivate app, power cycle xbox one s from power button, hard reset from un plugging and plugging back up, and resetting wifi modem) to no avail. I've been having this same issue for over
a week. I can watch movies if I don't rewind them. Strangely, fast forwarding a movie does not produce the same issue.

Note: My HBO GO service is active and I have no problems playing, rewinding, or fast forwarding movies on other devices. I only have this issue on the Xbox One S. App is recently updated. Xbox One S has recent update as well.

It depends on the distribution deals they have in place with cable/satelite providers. The game is changing where they no longer "need" these companies to distribute their content. I just wish it was HD. From what I can tell the content being streamed
via the Xbox app is not in HD. I would rather watch HBOgo on my Ipad.

I only have this issue with the HBO Go app. I can watch movies or videos in other apps with no problems. I ran a speed test a week ago and my network isn't the issue because my speeds exceed the minimum speed requirements to use streaming services on Xbox
One S.

 

Thanks for clarifying! Just so that we can fully help out and have a full picture of your set-up, can you share the numbers that were shown when you ran the speed test? To also check, have you reached out to HBO Support for this issue considering it's only
affecting the HBO GO app?

 

I'm having this issue too! All my other streaming apps are working except for HBO Go. How do I solve this?
