    Having troubles when connecting Xbox to Discord (IOS)


    I know this feature is still in it's early phases and has just came out for Delta / Omega ranked insiders, but I'm having troubles connecting my xbox account to discord.

    Whenever I scan the QR code, it says "Bake Cookies" and takes me to a screen where it shows multiple steps. Step one is downloading the discord app and updating it, then step two says I have to link my xbox account, which I have re-linked several times. Next, It redirects me to a screen saying I have to return to the app and if the problem keeps persisting I should make sure my default browser is safari (which it is).

    I have looked through an IOS guide of someone doing this, but they don't have my issue.

    Can anyone provide a fix / workaround to this issue?



    EDIT: I don't know what I did, but it's fixed now

    Hello Jeff, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the connection.

    It's very possible that this could be an issue on the Discord side. Especially since you say you did a factory reset on the console. When you relinked the accounts did you go onto the Discord side into the Settings and have it forget the Xbox connection?

    If not give that a try then relink to the Xbox again to see if that helps.

    The Elite 2 isn't supported on iOS yet, but they are working on it. I asked an Xbox employee in the Xbox discord. It's ran by Xbox employees.

    Hi—

    My NAT is open, and my Xbox is connected to my router directly with a network cable. Like I said, this issue doesn’t occur with Xbox voice chat, only when I join a discord channel on Xbox, either via transferring it or joining directly from the Xbox discord menu. None of my other friends have this issue, as they’re on pc and connected to discord directly. I can also connect to discord on my phone and use my phone mic and don’t have that issue, despite that being wifi.

    Thus, it seems to be the discord on Xbox system, which is extremely disappointing.

    I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble with linking your Discord account to your Xbox. Please try the following steps to fix the problem:



    1. On your Xbox, go to Settings > Account > Linked social accounts and unlink your Discord account.

    2. On your PC or mobile device, open the Discord app and go to User Settings > Connections and disconnect your Xbox account.

    3. Restart both your Xbox and your Discord app.

    4. On your Xbox, go to Settings > Account > Linked social accounts and link your Discord account again. You should receive a code on your screen.

    5. On your PC or mobile device, open the Discord app and go to User Settings > Connections and connect your Xbox account. Enter the code that you received on your Xbox.

    6. On your Xbox, launch the Discord app and try to join a server.
