Having trouble with my friends list on xbox live

Hi my xbox live username is ''MendedCoast8473'' I was playing online and my friend invited me to a party chat. I went to go accept his invite and accidentally hit block communications. I went to go re add him but I can not remember his full name. the start
of his name is ''CAPTIN'' Is there any ways you can check my recently blocked friends and let me know his name? That way I can re add him back to my friends.

Can't sign in and when I do it says it connects to xbox live and connection is fine but i can't do anything

Ok, so I've gotten in contact with xbox live support. We tried everything from hard resetting to factory reset. Even after factory reset I'm having trouble with live. I still have trouble signing in, updating (I had to do an offline update for my xbox) installing
games, and even opening apps. I still can't see whose on my friends list. I don't understand what happened it was working fine last week

 

Xbox Settings say console is connected, but won't sign in to XBL

I'm having this issue right now myself. I see my friends list but my Xbox acts like it's offline. Right after i thought this Live trouble was fixed too...

If you block someone by accident and you want to "un-do" a block, you can follow these steps:

Go to the Home screen.

Open the Friends app.

Press the Menu button on your controller.

Select People I’ve blocked.

Find the person to unblock.

Select Unblock.

This way you don't have to write your friend's username.

I went to xbox homepage went over to social, clicked friends.. now I'm stuck on what to do.. not sure where my menu button is. and I tried everything i know and nothing happens

 

I'm just upset because his name was kind of confusing and I don't remember the full name to send him another friend request because I accidentally blocked communications.

I just really hope they can see my recent blocked friends and give me his name or just tell me steps to figure it out like you tried. I went to my friends app tried 2 places but im not sure where the menu button is on my 360's controller. I pressed all and
nothing about blocked people came up..

 

I was talking through a person on xbox via your contact support team on chat. they sent me to this forum and said they passed word a long to the team I would be posting. Still no help.

I am truly sorry to hear about the issue. The only way to unblock a player is by sending the blocked player a message. Unfortunately you will need to know the full gamertag of the player you wish to unblock.
