First off party chat never works with my friends it does barely i dont know if anyone else is having the same problem. Also my kinect keeps telling me its unplugged it goes on and off all day again idk if anyone else is having this problem to. and i think
they ruined skype when u minimize it ur chat volume goes way down i dont know wrf xbox is doig here they never had so many issues with there online service im not a sony fan at all but come on xbox get your *** together. plz reply if u heard anything about
this or your having same issues. i dont wanna have to send my hole xbox back again :-(

Xbox One Discussion regarding your CHAT options.

Is Skype and Xbox Live in-game Chat going to be your only 2 chat options on the Xbox One?

I read that your won't be able to cross chat nor voice message across Xbox 360 and Xbox One. But this thread is about your chat options between Xbox One users.

Xbox Live Party is a popular thing on Xbox Live. I think they should introduce an Xbox Live Party chat or some sort of other Party Chat mode which you can use instead of having to use Skype. Xbox Live Party sounds better than Skype Call, unless they rename
it Skype Party. You know, a Party Chat with a group of say 4-8 people like Xbox Live Party instead of having to use Skype.

For Skype Calls on Xbox One, what will be the maximum you can have in the call, and can you change the Skype Call party to Invite Only so you don't get so many eve droppers?

Xbox 360 has several chat options, including

Xbox Live Party

Video Kinect

Private Chat 1-4.

Problem with Xbox Live in-game chat is it can only be used while you are in the game. You can't go off and play another game or do something else, and other peoples voices may get distorted after a while. Can you be in a Skype Call if you don't have the
Kinect plugged in and if you just want to use a mic instead? Thanx for reading

These are bugs relating to the Early Access program and need to be reported there. As far as Skype volume going down when you minimize the window, stop. As that is a feature that was implemented with update 1405

Yeah, Kinect turns off with Skype when using the headset, just not Party Chat. At least for one of us.

As for the skype echo issue, I've also tried disconnecting Kinect just to make sure it wasn't causing issues. Heck, I even disconnected HDMI so there was no audio getting out other than the headset. No luck.

Of course, because Skype will be the new communication feature like party chat and video chat. Gold users have access to Video Kinect and Xbox Live Party Chat for Xbx 360, so they will have access to a similar thing for Xbox One which is Skype. M want's
us to use Skype which is why it's going to be a key feature in Xbox One.

And FYI you can also use Skype on xbox if you have kinect

They are probably working on Multi-language voice recognition support for Kinect + Skype & also updating Kinect Sensors software with Skype Sensor Technology.. It can take awhile..
