Having trouble with entire xbox

So a coupe of days ago my xbox was having trouble launching games. It just kept saying "oops, sorry Apex legends took too long to start" and so i tried to do a hard reset. It didnt fix anything. Then everything started to say the same thing, even the settings. Once i finally got into my settings, I did a factory reset. It had problems and took me to an error screen. I havent been able to restart it any way. Ive turned it off and back on and it just takes me back to the same place. BUT if I unplug it for a bit it brings me back to square one. please help

Do you have an external hard drive plugged in to the console right now?

If yes, can you unplug it and Please Turn off console > (press and hold power button for 10 seconds) unplug everything from the console > wait for 2 minutes and plug everything back > Turn On the console.

Once done, please check if the issue still persist while the external hard drive is unplugged.

If any of you are still having trouble turn on background downloads and DL it that way. Thats what ended up working for me. Keep an eye on your xbox because it might still stop the DL, but it will eventually stay on and DL the entire game.
