Having trouble running update

Hi Everyone,

I bought a used Xbox 360 with Kinect - I only bought it to play one game - Baller Beats - my daughter wants to use it to practice basketball.

I hooked it up and connected to the network and it immediately told me it needs an update to be able to use the Kinect. However I keep getting an error code saying "Can't download the update - test live connection.

Status Code:

445E - 0000 - 0080 - 0300 - 8007 - 000F

I thought maybe it was related to HD space so I went to settings and storage and it said "No storage detected". I went out and grabbed a 64GB USB flash drive. I then downloaded the file to the USB and plugged it in but it still wont work. SOOOO frustrated!

Anyone know what I need to do? I dont even want to play the game online.....but I cannot use the Kinect without running the update apparently so I am stuck.

To resolve this problem, try the following steps provided by our article for this specific

'Error 8007-000F "Can't process the update" occurs when downloading an update on Xbox 360':

Turn off your console.
Remove all storage devices, including any USB flash drives, external hard drives, or the internal hard drive on the Xbox 360 E console or the Xbox 360 S console.

Learn how to remove the hard drive.
Add your primary storage device; for example, the hard drive.
Turn on the console.
Try updating the console again.

Still receiving the error message?

If your Xbox 360 console has an internal memory module: Try installing the update to a different storage device, or go to the
Online Service Center to request a console repair.

Examples of internal memory modules include:
- Xbox 360 E 4GB
- Xbox 360 S 4GB
- Original Xbox 360 Arcade
If your Xbox 360 console has an attached hard disk drive (HDD): See
Add or remove an Xbox 360 hard drive to learn how to remove the HDD so that you can use a different storage device when you install the update. (HDDs can range in size from 20 GB to 320 GB.)

I apologize for the trouble however, it can’t be due to an update, usually if there’s an issue with the update it will be added on the known issue but as I have double check everything is up and running.
