Having trouble redeeming code for fallout 3 on xbox one.

I recently purchased fallout 4 and it comes with a free code. When I type the code for the game in, it confirms the game name and says: Fallout 3 would you like to add this game. But once I click yes, it says error and gives this code:

I've tried redeeming the code both on my xbox one and my computer. What is the problem? And until last night my netflix app was working fine but now it won't even open. It shows the logo for about 1 second then goes back to the home screen. Are these two
problems related somehow?

Game still in library after canceling digital pre-order

I purchased Fallout 4 digitally via the Xbox Games Store on Xbox One on 10/30/2015. I canceled it that same day. However in the my games & apps section, it's still there, and on top of that, I received a code for Fallout 3 on 11/4/2015. I'm not redeeming
the code or downloading the game, because I don't want to get in trouble...but when will those disappear?

Sorry you're having trouble redeeming a code. Can you try redeeming it here on Xbox.com rather than through your Xbox One to see if there's any change?

 

Can you try redeeming the code on an Xbox 360 and see if that works instead?

Can you please check the card as sometimes these codes have a date printed on them that they need to be redeemed by.

I will check the card that came with my copy of the game when I get home later.

 

What region are you in and what region is your account? Most of the time, the issues with that code is a region issue. Fallout 3 is region locked.

 

I do not have access to an xbox 360. I am in the military and currently stationed in Japan. There also isn't a date for the code.

 

Redeeming on a 360 would not fix the issue since it would be a region issue. Since the game is region locked, your account region has to match your physical location. So if your account is not set for Japan, it won't download.
