    Error Message I keep getting when attempting to purchase XBox gift cards or even add money to my kids spending account. There's nothing wrong with the payment source I'm using:

    I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you I did an internal search on the Microsoft forum and I found a publication by Gerardo C., an independent advisor, where he mentions some steps to solve the payment problem and I thought it was a good one. information, which you should take into account:

    I recommend you try the following possible solutions:

    - Try purchasing the item from a different browser to see if you still have the same problem.

    - Delete and re-associate the card with your account using the following link:

    - Add a different card and try to make the payment again.

    - Associate your debit/credit card with a Paypal account and try to make the purchase with that payment method, it generally does not cause problems and is just as secure.

    - If none of the previous solutions work, please wait 48 hours without trying to buy anything in the store so that if you have a temporary block, it will be removed. If after this time you are still unable to purchase then please contact your bank as they may be blocking the purchase.

    Sorry to hear you are having trouble making purchases for your child's account. It looks like there is a specific issue with the web page. I suggest clearing your web browser cache. You can also use a private browser or a different browser (Edge instead Chrome, or Firefox, etc).

    To delete your cache from the Edge Browser:

    1. Open Microsoft Edge.
    2. Click the Settings and More (three dots) button on the top-right corner.
    3. Click on Settings.
    4. Click on Privacy and services.
    5. Under the “Clear browsing data” section, click the Choose what to clear button.
    I suggest specifically deleting "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files". Note: It will sign you out of your saved log-ins and passwords.

    To delete your cache from the Chrome browser

    1. On your computer, open Chrome.
    2. At the top right, click More (three vertical dots)
    3. Click More tools

      Clear browsing data.
    4. At the top, choose a time range. To delete everything, select All time.
    5. Next to "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files," check the boxes.
    6. Click Clear data.
    Sign into your account and try the steps again.

    If you are still having issues with the website, and it happens everywhere you try (Other computers, your phone, browsers, etc) try using the Microsoft Family Safety app on your mobile device.

    When you log-in it should show your family members. Click on the child account and scroll all the way to the bottom where it says "Spending". Click on Manage

    From there you can manage their content restrictions the same way you would on the web or the Xbox console. Scroll down to "Microsoft account balance" then click Add money.
