  1. Having trouble opening port 3074

I am trying to set my NAT type from strict to open, but every time I try to open up port 3074 I get this message: The specified port(s) are being used by other configurations. Please check your configurations of USB Readyshare, Remote Management, Port Forwarding,
Port Triggering, UPnP Port Mapping table, RIP, and Internet connection type.

My netgear model is an R6200. Any help would be appreciated!

    :)

    I really need help.

    Hi dude,

those ports, are you opening them individually?

    Such as opening these one-by-one:

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP)

    Port 53 (TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

Because this can cause problems with some routers, and you should have:

    Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP&TCP) - both open in one port listing.

Port 53 (UDP&TCP) - both open in one port listing.

    Port 80 (TCP)

If you are getting that error, it means that port 3074 is already configured for one of the mentioned services.

The easiest thing that I would recommend to do is to configure the DHCP Reservation and then DMZ Host for the console. DHCP Reservation will force the router to give the console the same IP Address whenever it connects. Once you have configured the settings
and applied them, do a powerdrain on the console and network before checking the NAT on console again.

Click Here to go the Network Hardware Information forum. It's for the R6300 but the Netgear Genie is essentially the same.

Let me know if this resolves your Strict NAT issue!

Do you still own a 360?

Do you play Call of duty or Destiny on a playstation?

If you answer yes to any of those questions then that will be why as those also use port 3074 and may have already opened the port via UPnP.

You cannot use port forwarding or DMZ if you own more than one console that requires port 3074. You will need to use UPnP exclusively or you will have problems.

I have searched the network hardware forums for your router to check for multi-console support but can't find an exact match. I found 2 similar model numbers and checked multi-console support. A Netgear R6300 and a Netgear 6200. Both routers are confirmed
not to have multi-console support meaning the UPnP is crap and wont allow open NATS on all consoles.

You will probably need to sacrifice your NAT on your 360 if you want an open NAT on your x1.

If you don't own any other console then do what FatherSama says.
