having trouble joining one xbox friends server

Im having trouble joining one of my friends servers and they cant join mine on any game. I can join all of my other friends severs. both of our NAT types are open and we both have good internet connection. we both have reset our routers, xbox and tested our NAT types (which said was open) and network connection. My other friends can join their sever and mine. This problem has been going on for about a year now and didn't become a big problem until now when I decided to host a game. We are able to join each others party's just not any worlds/servers on any game. any ideas?

Hi there Avery! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. We can try the following steps on both consoles! Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

Settings.

Select Network Settings.

Select Advanced Settings.

Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Allow the console to restart when prompted.

We could try stronger methods: The first step in resetting an Xbox One is to open the main menu. This can be accomplished in one of two ways:

Press the home button on your Xbox One controller. This is the illuminated button with a stylized X that is centrally located on the front of the controller near the top.

Alternately, you can press the left bumper until you reach the home tab, and then press left on the d-pad.

Press down on the d-pad until you reach the gear icon.

Press the A button to select the gear icon.

With all settings highlighted, press the A button again to open the settings menu.

Press down on the d-pad until you reach System.

Press the A button to open the System submenu.

With console info highlighted, press the A button again.

Press down on the d-pad to select reset console.

Press the A button to select this option and move to the final step.

Press left on the d-pad to select Reset and keep my games & apps. Then press the A button. This is the less thorough of the two options, as it only resets the Xbox One firmware and settings without touching your games and apps. Try this first, as it allows you to avoid downloading everything all over again.

Im playing on xbox but i downloaded the windows 10 edition, and im having trouble while joining a friend’s world, it says that it wasnt able to connect to the server

I'm having this same issue. Open in the Xbox One settings, but moderate in the game. Having trouble joining friends lobbies too... Also tried port forwarding, nothing.
