Having trouble downloading Age of Empires II from Xbox app

Bought Age of Empires II last April. Downloaded fine from Microsoft Store. Last Thursday, went to play the game and it was gone from my computer. Searched for the game on the C drive, but the only thing left of the game was this folder: Age of Empires 2 DE. So, unistalled game and tried to download it again from the stupid Xbox app. Will not work. Says Preparing 0% for ages, then comes up with error message 0x00000001. Have tried everything suggested to fix the problem, but no luck. What options do I have? Is it possible to get a CD with the game?

Well doing more testing i tried updating Age of empire II from the Xbox (Beta) and i was downloading at 50mb/s. I do have a windows firewall but if I'm able to update Age of empire II at 50 mb/s that should affect downloading Ori.

Can you try downloading the 'Create Windows 10 or 11 installation media app' from the link below:

At the end of the download run it and then follow the steps and at the end click on upgrade,

Please sign out on your Xbox App and then sign back in, after that search "Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Lords of the West" then check if you have an option to install it.

It's the Xbox App but if you're on Microsoft Store App you can simply go to "Library" and click on "Games"

Or you can search Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Lords of the West and once you're on the said page click on Age of Empires II: Deluxe Definitive Edition Bundle, scroll down and you should see "In this bundle", click on it and install.
