Having to reset Xbox One every time I start it up.

So whats the deal with this? I know it isn't a difficult thing to fix but it is blatantly annoying, literally every time I start it up I have to go through the process of hard resetting once or twice. Its either Black Screen, Green Screen, a black screen
with annoying noise, or just spinning circles over parts that don't load.

I sent the console in as per diagnosis from the chat support, which was wrong because it was sent back with no hardware issues.

Just what is the deal with this? Will April's fix this or is there something wrong with my current update?

    :)

    Connecting Issues

So for about the past..week or 2...every time i turn my xbox one on, it always starts up offline. Anyone else have this issue/have a fix for an issue such as this?

I've done all from modem/router resets, and every networking issue as im in the IT field, and this has me stumped, hence having to come here.

Battlefront keeps going back to first time EULA Agreement

Is anyone having this issue where every time I go to start a new game, it keeps running through the first time set up End User License Agreement and walkthrough?

    Problems:

    - It is annoying

    - It is time consuming

    - I keep having to reset all my cards and hands

Having to reset Xbox One every time I start it up.

Still having issues up into June. Now with the occasional freezing, is there no permanent fix for this? I don't like having to mess with my console for 15mins to an hour and a half to try and get it to boot every time I want to play a game.

  6. I had this problem not long after launch. I factory reset mine and it's been fine ever since! Give that a go.

Please read this page ENTIRELY before taking any action.

After you have exhausted EVERY OTHER OPTION (short of RMA'ing your console in for repairs), including the overlooked obvious like blocked vents, loose cables, bad power strips, etc.. there may still be the possibility of your console's firmware being mucked
    up by a bad update.

Again (and I can't stress this enough), use this as your last resort solution!!! Not only is it time consuming and requires a lengthly download, but (like any manual flash of any device) done incorrectly can brick (totally disable) your device.

However, based on your thread thusfar, I would assume you're at the point of sending it in for repair, anyways. Good luck, and PLEASE continue to keep the thread informed of any solution to your issue; someone else may be reading this later!

Having to reset xbox one every time I turn it on

    Hey Kaboodle

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums.

In regards to this matter, I would suggest is performing a
    soft factory reset
on your console. This tends to solve a myriad of hiccups with your console and it is the quickest way to find out if it could be something with the console itself.

This can be done by performing these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
    3. Select Reset console.
    4. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:
    • Reset and remove everything. This option resets the console to factory settings. All user data, including accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps will be deleted. You should use this option when selling
or gifting the console to someone else. You should only use this option as a last resort in some troubleshooting cases.
    • Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. This will save you from downloading
or reinstalling the large game files. In some cases, if a corrupt game file is causing the issue you're troubleshooting, you may have to choose
Reset and remove everything, but you should always start with
Reset and keep my games & apps
and save Reset and remove everything as a last resort.
    • Cancel. To back out of this screen, simply select the
      Cancel
button. No action has been taken at this point. This is a safe exit from this screen.

I recommend that you keep your games and app as to make sure you can get back to gaming as quickly as possible.

Give this a shot and let us know your results!
