Having to be present when you get a large update or downloading is total BS. Why in the **** can I not just start my update, swap back to TV and it finish? It pauses when your not viewing it or it pauses when you've not pressed the controller button after
a few mins. It would be nice if it would stop **** pausing whenever I'm doing other things. Finish my download already!!! Tired of babysitting

I miss being a child, not having to worry about anything, getting presents from the family. The only presents I seem to now get are from the girlfriend

Unable to update payment options

Pretty much same issue i am having and i dont wont to phone support to be charged and getting no help. If others are having at this present time then it is something on theor end no ?

This kind of stuff should be automated when you set your console to "Instant-On", and have it set to automatically update stuff.

This is achieved by opening the Guide, and going to Settings > All Settings.

Go to Power & Startup > Power mode & Startup.

Ensure your power mode is set to Instant-On, and Keep my console, games & apps up to date is checked.

What's worse is Xbox 360. When there's an update on 360, your console abruptly disconnects you from XBL, abruptly disconnects you from your XBL Party with your friends, then takes 10 hours to complete, lol just kidding. Like Internet Expert said, Xbox 1
has instant on, where your console does updates automatically in the background.

I guess I'd understand this post if I had ever had to be present during an update. Mine updates when I'm asleep. I also have a good ISP so downloading times have never been an issue.

Erm.......................There must be a setting on your console because I've never had to "babysit" my console when its downloaded DLC, updates or even games.

Heck most time when I download games, I set them all away and then switch the channel over to watch some TV and forget about it. If its a really HUGE download, I set it to download and then turn my console off, and it just keeps on downloading in the background.

Perhaps you don't have the "low power" option set on your console, just a thought.
