Having problems with my Xbox One Setup with an HDMI Conversion Box

For me, my ideal setup would be hdmi from cable box to xbox to surround in. Then surround out to one of my hdmi in's on the tv. I suspect that I might have to run optical out from cable box to optical in surround. I'd rather not have to switch inputs
from hdmi one for xbox/cable to surround for blue ray.

This is how my setup goes. I have the HDMI from my cable box going to the HDMI input on the Xbox one. Then I have the HDMI output from the Xbox one going to the HDMI game input on my receiver. Then I have the HDMI output from the receiverrunning the TV.

The only thing I can think of is make sure the receiver is set to the correct input.

Just had to say.... I've had to disconnect the hdmi from the xbox as the sound was just too much. Plug the sky box into the TV and problems sorted. My setup is sky hd box --- hdmi to xbox ----hdmi to tv. Sound is an lg sound bar on an optical cable direct
from the tv.

Your receiver looks a lot like the Onkyo one I have. Without knowing the rest of your setup, what I have is the Xbox One HDMI going into the receiver (as well as the BD player, Cable box & Xbox 360) and then an HDMI cable in the HDMI out slot to the TV.

What is the rest of your setup? And how are you connecting everything to your TV?

Well...first thank you for your informations.

Everything in my system got the latest firmware.

I just changed the TV and amplifier and updated everything.

I also feel...it cannot be a cable problem, because everything else

works fine without any connection problems in 2D and 3D.

I more thinking about, not connecting the HDMI IN TV setup from

my Sat Box any more. To setup the TV Sat, a have to use a HDMI splitter

between Sat Box, Xbox One and TV. The Xbox One got still a direct

HDMI Line to the amplifier. I tested the TV setup yesterday...and well..

it works...but is no so necessary here in Germany. There are just

no stations that work together with the Xbox or OneGuide. So it´s just

a passthrough signal...and the Xbox One system...feel´s kind of strange

when dealing with a TV Signal. I don ´t need this....and maybe there´s

a HDCP handshake problem, now in this HDMI cable setup.

I will try this and forward the information...if blackscreen doesn´t

happen again.

Overall...there shouldn´t be a problem...but that´s the only way to test

something. If I still got those strange blackscreen...then there must be

something wrong with the HDMI Port on the Xbox...

I also told the Xbox One to handle the Sony TV (mute etc.) Maybe there´s

a kind of ARC channel setup to do this...and when I switch over to the

JVC X30...maybe then something doesn´t work!? Hmmmm....

Btw. Forza 5 is a great game...but omg there is no Nürnburg Ring !?! grrrr...
