Having problems with Minecraft Xbox one discounted price

I own Minecraft on my Xbox 360. I've been trying to upgrade but it only shows full retail price instead of the discounted price. Even though, it used to show the discounted price on the Xbox games store. Any ideas on what's going on?

5 weeks and counting...still no minecraft discount

Hi Elmo Man, Sorry to hear your having problems getting Minecraft at the discounted price. I can see from your profile, that you have recently played Minecraft on the xbox 360, If the game is the digital version, then try redownloading it to the xbox 360,
that might help the system notice that you own the game. Then while the xbox one is turned on, power cycle it (hold power button for 8 seconds)then try to buy the game for the xbox one. Let us know if the discounted price shows up. If it doesn't, then your
only option might be to phone xbox support, so they can fix the issue for you.

 

It might because it was for a limited time only, maybe it's gone back up to full price

 

Discount was only till yesterday apparently. Was putting off getting it until i was in the mood to play it on xbox one and didn't know the discount was temporary. Either they make the discount permanent for previous owners or they don't get my money for
it ever. No way in hell i am paying full price for it again.

 

The discount is until they put a date on it, if the site shows it's available for 4.99$ It's available for 4.99 for those who own the 360 version.

I was on the phone for a good hour with Greg from Support and he told me they are looking into it and many people are having this issue.

I can wait but it really sucks as I have till Monday and I'm back working like a mad man.

THE 4.99$ upgrade is still available.

 

Think about it though, how many parents buy this system for the kids they have, how many kids play this game, O MINECRAFT XBOX ONE EDITION!! 19.99$ most of the kids and parents wouldn't even know about the 4.99$ upgrade as it doesn't even show. It's only
on the website... far as I know.

I hope Microsoft pays back the people who own the 360 version but still payed the 19.99$ for the Xbox One version that would make sense and I'm sure they will but still this is 2015 now, and these systems should not have all these issues, it's absolutely
ridiculous imho.
