    Having problems with DVR after getting a new Wireless Headset


    Basically, couple days ago I got myself a new Headset, the Astro A20, and well, after I started using it, the 30 second clip feature is just completely broken, audio is completely desynced and my microphone which is a separate mic is having some problems with audio input not always being recorded, even with the "record everything" on the capture settings, it's about a 7 second delay with my latest clip recorded being in rocket league, tested it on Beamng.Drive and the issue persists, rebooted my computer to see if it would fix and nothing, tried plugging the headset receiver to another usb port and nothing changed, updated the firmware on it and still nothing, I need help with this one cause It's a very useful function for me and I don't really have any other alternatives that I like.

    updated drivers and windows to the latest version, still no fix. Although I don't know what you mean by Companion app, is it like the astro command center that's on the store? if that's the case then I do have it already, both web and windows store versions

    Hello Reo, you're making the captures on your Xbox's internal HARD drive, if you're trying to take the captures on an external disc, you can select the disc only as media so that the captures are taken directly on it to see if it's something in recording or playing clips.

    Hello again, have you checked if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10.

    If you haven't updated yet, click the link below, update and then make all subsequent security updates. Microsoft recently released some important fixes for the system, and make sure you have the Companion App installed along with all Xbox Apps.

    Oh, Sorry, forgot to mention, I'm not recording on my xbox, it's from my windows game bar (windows 10 to be exact), and no it's in the recording, since the audio that i'm getting from my headset is completely fine and working with no delays.

    New Xbox Wireless Headset (2021) constant disconnecting

    Just got a brand new Series X with the Wireless headset and its cracking, distorting and dropping connection every few minutes or so. When it gets bad, it will drop entirely for a few seconds at a time before reconnecting.

    I've tried hard resetting, unpairing and pairing, updating to 9.22 firmware three times and still have the issue.

    This is so frustrating after spending upwards of $600 for this setup.

    Question for the forum is...have you all tried other headsets? I'm curious if the problem lies with my Series X or just this headset. As I see the options as being:

    • Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset for another Microsoft Wireless Headset.
    • Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset and get a 3rd party headset.
    • Warranty the Series X if the problem lies with specific hardware units.
