    Having Problems managing TV through Kinect


    I have a XBox1S and Visio m65d0 run through a pioneer VSX-1131 receiver and connect won't recognize my TV when I try to setup management. I have highspeed cables and latest OS/Firmware on TV, XBOX1S, VSX1131.

    Problem Description:

    Whenever I try to go to Settings TV and OneGuide then Device control and set up my TV the UI won't let me select my TV. I can input Brand, hit next, then try to enter the model myself, I type in m65d0 hit next, then pick the right receiver out of the list
    (M65D0) and hit next.

    At this point - the spinner circle pops up for like .5 seconds then disappears and I never get taken to the next screen signaling that I input the information correctly. It just sits at same screen and I can hit next or back and if I hit next again I get
    spinny circle for like .5 seconds again. If I pick a WRONG model like M3D650SV and hit next the circle will spin for 5 seconds - then Device will get set. I tried smaller version of my TV M55D0 and it has same issue.

    I checked and enabled CEC on both my TV and my receiver, not sure if that matters, because I was under the impression that this was just to enter infared code for the TV?

    I've had my Xbox One on for 168 hours continuously.

    I run my TV through it, so mine is constantly on when I get home from work till I go to sleep and even longer on the weekends. I have had 0 problems with the actual unit and I have had it since day 1. I did have a problem with my Kinect, they had to send me a new one. But no problems with overheating.

    Kinect Not Consistently Controlling TV

    Hi Jerjef,

    Sorry you're having issues with your Kinect and TV controls. Have you tried re-positioning the Kinect? I know with my Kinect sometimes it gets pushed back just a bit and that can cause issues turning on my TV and/or receiver. If you've done that and you're
    still having issues with it, I would suggest going through. Also, try using
    this link     to test your IR signal and other good troubleshooting steps.

    I don't think that will be fixed. The voice problem is just the audio coming out of their tvs and back through their kinect.

    I'm not having issues with controlling my TV and Cable recciver, that works fine through HDMI commands from the Xbox, the problem is that the Xbox one only seem to have a IR recciver on the console itself (hidden in a closet), and no IR recciver on the Kinect

    XBOX ONE turns on my TV but after a couple of seconds it turns off again

    I am having a similar problem. I say "XBOX ON", the light comes on the Xbox One, the tv and stereo turn on then the Xbox One turns off. It then will only turn on by pressing the button on the front and appears to go through a full boot process. Once the
    Kinect boots, it then turns off my tv.
