    Having problems installing the games to my external hard drive


    A few weeks ago I was having a problem installing sniper elite three to my external drive. After several reinstalls I contacted support and after several hours on the phone with them their solution was to reset my Xbox to factory and erase everything I
    had. I did that and Had no issues installing that game. However the problem came shortly thereafter when I went to reinstall summer all games except my external drive and was unsuccessful giving me exact same error as I had before. So now after trying to
    install Dragon age I have to delete and try make room on my internal hard drive. I'm just wondering if is it my hard drive that's faulty? Other games work fine on it, or does anybody know a workaround for this?anybody else having this issue?

    Oh Im not having problems with anyother games and also tried installing the game disc to hard drive .

    Hello, I am having problems with installing new games and or moving games from internal hard drive to an external one. Any game that I try to install keeps stopping and just would not work. As for moving games from internal to external,
    some dlc works but the game itself would not move. Also some games that have updates for them, instead of updating it, it ends up installing the whole game instead.

    Do other games you own that aren't from game pass have the same problem? Do you have an external hard drive. If a game I install to my external hard drive is very laggy I will move it to my internal hard drive which usually fixes the problem.

    Hi, sorry for that issue, the problem is the external hard drive, for some reason (I don't know why), the games that require Administrator approval have issue on external drive.
    Thanks for the answer. External hard drive it is not the problem in my case. While trying to find a solution to this Xbox Game pass for PC / Windows Store error I did reinstall Windows 10 on my iMac's internal hard drive. The problem with error 0x8007001f
    persists even when Windows 10 is installed on the internal hard drive.

    Yes, I have an external hard drive connected to my Xbox, and the game appears to be installed on the external hard drive.

    It was a problem with my external drive, I couldn't install those few items to my external drive but I could install them using my internal hard drive by setting it as default.
