    Having problems getting xbox one mic to work.


    Hey, I have been using a computer monitor for my xbox one which is fantastic for picture quality and refresh rate but one downfall is there are no speakers. I have been using computer speakers hooked up to the controllers audio jack in order to get sound.
    Earlier today I found out that if I plugged in my wired controller I could plug the computer speakers into the audio jack from it and get sound that way while playing with my good controller.

    So now that my situation has been described what I am wandering is if its possible to get the mic to work as well since the audio ports on my good controller are now free. The mic is the generic xbox one version that only does voice and it works fine when
    im recording messages etc.. but when I try to use it in party chat or game chat no one can hear me. Which is a little frustrating because I don't really want to drop money on an actual gaming headset that does voice and sound.

    Yes! I am having the same problem. I got my Xbox One S a couple days ago and the mic doesn't work. I can hear everything, but no one can hear me. Everyone in game chat can see my mic symbol. I have tried using apple headphones for a mic doesn't work. Bought
    adapter for my Xbox 360 turtle beaches doesn't work. I have tired all the things listed, but still no speech will go through ANY mic. It sounds like I am doing something wrong or Microsoft is having a glitch of some kind. If there is this many people having
    similar problems then something is up. I'm glad that I am not the only one with this issue.

    Hello people, my xbox one mic will not work when trying to play black ops 2 on the xbox one. But it does work completely fine for actual xbox one games, is my mic the problem? Can i fix this without getting a new mic or must i buy a new mic?

    Default headset oddly not working

    There is a problem that is, if you switch your Xbox One on with the mic already plugged into your controller, then the mic will not work. But however your issue sounds different. It sounds to me like the auxiliary port on your Xbox One controller is broken
    (the place where you plug your mic into). Does it have dust or any visible problems, if not then you might have to look into getting a new controller.
