    I got a hard drive-less 4gb model Xbox slim, didn't get a hard drive because I had my old 250gb I wanted to use.

    Well I put it in and one of two things happened. First the internet isn't working. It says it can't detect an IP for wired connections, and for wireless it's telling me to connect a 360 wireless adapter (this is the slim model, meaning it should already
    have one internally).

    Second, all of my DLC/Season Pass related stuff is not being detected, it's telling me to buy them and such. What do I have to do to fix this without reformatting the hard drive (and losing all of my content, since the profile it's linked to is long gone.
    It has all been working fine since it was purchased on this Xbox, but now that I have a new one it'd all messed up). It also gives me error 80151901

    I'm not sure about the IP issue, but as far as the content, you said the content is linked to a different profile? You would have to have access to that profile in order to transfer the licenses to your new console in order for you to be able to have access
    to that content again.

  6. I didn't have access to it before but was still able to play the games and such. I can't just transfer it from one hard drive to the other? I can still play all the games right now even without the profile, it's the DLC/Season pass stuff that isn't working.

    Only the profile that bought the dlc/season pass would be able to do a license transfer.

    You will want to change that gamertag as well as it violates the code of conduct & will you will get a forced name change at some point.

    I'm not trying to license transfer, I'm trying to transfer data from one harddrive to the other with a transfer cable which is different, because it just takes whats in my current hard drive and puts it in the nee hard drive, it has nothing to do with a
    license transfer. now somebody could please, please answer my question in regards to the Ethernet and wifi errors that would be great and whether or not I will be able to play the content want it has been transferred. I also don't care if they force name change,

    When you purchase content it is tied to the gamertag that purchased it as well as the console it was purchased on. It is not tied to the hard drive. The console license is what allows all profiles on a console to access the content. If you switch consoles
    you have to perform a license transfer in order to move that console license to the new console. Otherwise, only the original profile that purchased the content will be able to access it. If you don't have access to that profile, you would have to repurchase
    everything in order to use it on the new console.

  10. Why am I still able to play my digital games on the new console then? I'm not following. Only my dlc/season passes arent working, everything else on the new console is working fine.

    Did you purchase it with your current account or with the other one?

    If it was purchased with the other one, it shouldn't work without a license transfer so you may have gotten lucky. Once the other issue gets cleared up, you may have to try redownloading the content to see if it fixes that issue, but even then you may need
    access to the other account in order to access it's download history.

    You may also want to try posting about the connection issue here -
