Having issues with headphones/audio quality.

Hey everyone, today I brought myself a new TV to play my Xbox on and I usually use headphones to listen to game audio because of young children etc. However on this TV the audio sounds terrible compared to my old monitor I used. Now I'm not sure if it's
an issue with the TV or my headphones but I would like to know if there is a way change the audio settings to reduce the extremely loud bass in games (especially Gears 3)?

I've connected my console to the tv the exact same way I did to my monitor (HDMI) and I use the headphone socket.

My TV is the 32inch Toshiba 32l4353D.

Any help would be appreciated.

What do you think about the Beats By Dr Dre Headphones?

Beats, just like a lot of expensive headphones, is just price over quality. You are paying for the name that they have, not for the quality that was suppose to be. Even Audio Technica is a better purchase than this.

 

What are some good Xbox One headsets of top notch quality.

If you don't care for chat, than just get some good-quality headphones. Typically headsets won't match the audio quality that headphones can reach.

 

Not sure I can help, but I used my old setup through the TV headphone socket through an adapter, and the sound quality was poor compared to the 360, my headset broke and now I have a different headset which goes to the optical port, and now its very very
good.

Although I am sure someone more in the know will give you better info very soon.

 

It might be the TV's audio profile you have set up, eg Standard, Cinema, Music and Game etc... Try playing with these untill you get one that sounds right.

 

I have similar problems I use my kinect on the one to speak but headphones plugged into my TV to hear after the new preview update this stopped working
