    Having issues with Blu Ray player app


    I went to watch a DVD on my xbox one. I downloaded the blu ray app without any issues. I inserted my disc. I could instantly hear the sounds of the DVD, but I could not see the picture. I skipped to the title menu and I could see the cursors, but I could
    not see "play" or "scene selection." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried changing the resolution. I tried a bunch of different combinations. I tried a new HDMI port, but I have no issues playing games or anything. Am I missing something?
    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Xbox One: Blu-ray and DVD movies

    You have to download the Blu-ray player app.

    Xbox One Blu-Ray Player, audio and video out of sync

    Surprised this is an issue at all, and quite annoyed too. Have only tried 3 blu rays yet, but all three had lip sync issues.

    They all start well, then it skips a beat at some point (similar to layer change of old on DVDs) and after that the audio is out of sync.

    XboxOneS is supposed to be the best available blu ray player out there, and yet the blu ray app (APP!) has very bad reviews, and for good reason it seems...

    Does your DVD work in another device? Do other discs work correctly in your Xbox One? What DVD was it?

    Yes, I had to plug in my old PS2, but all the DVDs worked in that. I tired a bunch of DVDs from older to newer. Newest one was Star Wars: Rogue One. I can play games with no issues. I just can't get dvds to work. I can hear them, and I can see the
    cursor to select PLAY, I just can't actually see the word PLAY. I have tried changing the picture and screen settings on my TV. I've tried adjusting the settings on my xbox (Pixel settings and hz settings). My xbox is up to date as well as my TV. I can't
    think of anything else I could do.

    It sounds like you mean Blu-Ray discs and not DVD's maybe? Either way, it sounds like your disc drive is failing and that your console may be in need of repairs. You can either reach out to our
    phone/chat support teams and they can walk you through the process or you can initiate things via our
    Online Service Center.

    Blu Ray Problem: Cannot play Game of Thrones Season 3

    It is possible that this is related to the Blu Ray app and the recent updates it has received. I have also been experiencing weird issues with the Blu ray recently and no one at Xbox will acknowledge if there is a known issue with the Blu Ray player.

    To watch DVD's or Blu-rays on your Xbox One you need to have the Blu-ray Player App installed and up to date!

    You can set the App to install from your Xbox Store by searching for it or here: Blu-ray Player App

    Make sure you have the Blu-Ray app installed. Blu-Ray player function uses dvds too.

    I can provide you with some basic tips so long.

    Set up and install the Blu-ray and DVD player app on Xbox

    To watch Blu-ray or DVD movies on your Xbox console, you first need to install the Blu-ray Player app. To install the app, choose one of the following options.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select Home, and then select Store.

    Select Search and enter Blu-ray in the search bar. Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears in the list of results.

    Select Install to download and install the app.

    Insert a Blu-ray or DVD disc into your Xbox.

    Select the Blu-ray Player app when it appears.

    On the Blu-ray Player app details page, select Install.

    Your disc should start playing automatically.

    After the app is installed, you can watch Blu-ray or DVD movies by inserting the disc into your Xbox console and selecting Blu-ray Player on the Home screen, or by finding it under My games & apps
