  1. Having issues with audio in games but not audio from the xbox

So i noticed a few days ago when i was playing on my xbox one S that ingame audio wasnt working on some games. Yet the xbox menu audio works just fine. I can hear the sounds it makes when you move around and select apps but when im actually in game the audio
does work. Tried 4 different audio headsets, headphones, and earbuds. The audio plays out of the monitor but again not game sound. I had this issue on black ops 3 and forza 6, as well as destiny. However for 1 day it worked on destiny but now it doesnt. Ive
done pretty much every troubleshooting i can find online. But was wondering if anyone here knew of anything else i could do

Ive hard reboot, turned off console, unplugged it then re plugged turned on. Ive messed with all the hdmi and headphone audios and none have worked.

    :)

  3. Audio crackles and pops

I have been having a similar problem with audio pops and crackles.

When I have my Xbox One connected to my TV with an HDMI cable and my surround sound receiver plugged into my TVs optical out port the audio pops and crackles (only from the Xbox One, not from any other audio source going into my TV and out to the receiver.)
Yet if I plug my receiver directly into the Xbox's optical port the audio plays normally with no distortion whatsoever. I even tried replacing the HDMI cord but got no results that had no popping or crackling in the audio. Hence leading me to believe that
the HDMI port on the Xbox one is having trouble sending audio to the TV through its HDMI cord as I even tested each of my 4 HDMI in ports on my gaming TV and my living room TV that achieved the same exact popping and crackling audio issues.

I have the same issue Having issues with audio in games but not audio from the xbox :( But even I can't hear the xbox menu audio. Could be this just a chatpad issue? Any fix?

    Elite 2 Controller Configuration

On the Accessories app when I select Audio the levels have been altered. As i said to get decent audio from my headphones i need to have the controller audio and in game controller audio set to 100%. This suggests either an issue with the headphones [where
there was none before with regular xbox one controllers] or something with how the elite 2 handles audio. Can it be anything else?

Cable signal lost after Xbox goes into stand-by mode

I have found a slightly different issue with cable after going into standby mode. The cable video works, but the audio does not (game audio works fine, though). I have to unplug the HDMI Out from the back of the Xbox One and then plug it back in to work.

The issue is not consistent, though. Sometimes everything works, sometimes cable audio does not.

    No Audio

The audio issue I have is when watching tv the audio goes through my avr. When I decide to play a game, the game plays but no sound through the avr, the tv audio is still going through it, but I do get audio from the game through the tv speakers. Any help?

Xbox one external hard drive games audio crash

    Hello Vash,

Sorry for the issue with your audio on games. We recommend one of the games you are having an audio issue with, install it on the internal HD. Then unplug the external and try the game see if it still has audio issues. This will test to see if it the external
    HD or the Xbox.

    Thanks,

    Brad
