Having issues playing movies that have been purchased and downloaded to hard drive

Please take a look at the content that you purchased to make sure that it doesn't state that it can't be downloaded and only streamed. That's usually the only reason why you wouldn't be able to download content onto the hard drive. Otherwise upon purchase of
the movies you would have been prompted to download the movie(s).

Have you tried downloading the movie to your console's hard drive? If you just recently purchased the movie you should have that option.

Also, can you please run an internet speed test at speedtest.net then post the results?

Please tell users of the xbox one that once they allow the xbox one to format an external hard drive they will be unable to use this hard drive with there PC. I have very little interest in downloading the games i've played onto it. I mainly wanted to
download movies from my external hard drive to my xbox one for viewing movies. Same with songs (much like on the ps3 or even the xbox 360) I am very dissapointed with the download as it does not allow me to do this and futher more i now have a useless external
hard drive!

It copies the movie to my Hard Drive then writes it on the DVD. I played it on the 360 with no issues. SO I have to assume its the Xbox One.

What were the two movies that you purchased? If they were downloading then they should be on your hard drive already. They should be available for you to watch by going to the TV & Movies section of the Xbox Dashboard.
