Having Issues Installing Minecraft Launcher

Hello,

I, a while back purchased Minecraft and I am having issues with installing it. It is saying "You’re at the limit for the number of devices that can be used with games and apps from the Store." It had a little option to select devices so I clicked it and removed all the devices except this computer and it still said the same issues so, I went to My Family and checked and I was the only one in My Family, so then I cleared my cache and reset my password and still that wouldn't work. Please help me!

Hello,

I was having the same issue yesterday, I the following solution worked for me.

In file explore i founI found the Minecraft launcher and deleted the folder.

I then went to the Microsoft store and installed Minecraft for windows only, without the launcher. Once it was installed I could then install the launcher without issue and launch the game

Hope you're doing great today Julián, please try going again to your devices tab:

Select Microsoft storage device management and press manage

Delete all the devices if they're appearing again, including yours.
After that do this:

Sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and try again

There are two ways to install Minecraft Launcher, first is through Microsoft Store (Minecraft Launcher) and second is through Minecraft website (Download Minecraft & Server Software | Minecraft). Since you have issues with Minecraft Launcher, we recommend your try to uninstall the launchers you have installed and make sure you are using the correct account on Microsoft Store.

Then, visit Minecraft website to check your account that should show no Buy now option for any of the game versions of Minecraft (Login | Minecraft).

Next, try to install the Minecraft Launcher from the Microsoft Store and see if issue persist.

The last resort is to download the launcher and install it from Minecraft website. See if issue persist for the game.
