Having a problem signing into microsoft + Xbox app on my computer

Thanks for trying. May I know if the Xbox app is installed on the same drive/partition as Windows (like C? And is your account an admin account?

- Click on Start > Search for command prompt > Right click on it and select "Run as administrator";

Then, just copy and paste the commands.

no, i do not use a vpn, i got the laptop as a gift so i dint know if there is any anti virus software in my laptop and i can still sign in to microsoft stuff just not xbox. thank you for the attempt of helping though

Thanks for trying the steps above. Are you able to sign in to the Microsoft store? Do you use any anti-virus or firewall on your computer? Also, do you use a VPN to connect to the internet?

Just so we can rule out that this is a computer account issue, would you please create another local account?

- Press Windows + R.Type netplwiz and press Enter.

- Click Add button.

- Click Sign in without a Microsoft Account. If you do not see that option, disconnect from the Internet.

- Click Local account if prompted.

- Type the username you want, and the password. You must also specify a hint. Click Next, then Finish.

Make the new local account an admin account:

- Select Start > Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users > Select the Account Owner Name (you should see "Local account" below the name) > Change Account Type. Select Administrator, then OK.

- Sign in with the new Administrator Account.

After that:

- Go to Start > Type Services > Open it.

- Find all Xbox Services (Xbox Accessory Management Service, Live Auth Manager, Live Game Save, Live Networking Service, Gaming Services). Right Click > Properties> Set the startup type to Automatic. Also Start them.

- Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options > Privacy > Uncheck "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device and reopen my apps after an update and restart." Restart your PC and sign in with this new local account.

See if the issue persists and please let me know.
