Having a new issue with audio receiver power on because it powers on , then off.

i have been incredibly happy to have my xbox one in 5.1 dolby since the beta update. Unfortunately that lasted about a day until another update *** up the power on feature for the stereo receiver. No matter what I have tried to set it to the xbox powers
on the Onkyo receiver then promptly shuts it off again. It worked fine until the update. Any ideas on how to get this working correctly? This is a new issue that just started happening and it's frustrating because I had it working and made no changes. I'm
not looking to shut this feature off its simple and should work.

    :)

Xbox On/ Xbox Turn Off does not power on off the television

I have an LG 47CM565 TV and same issue - powers it on just fine, won't power it back off. Same thing with the audio receiver - Sony bdv-e770w. Although I'm not positive that it's turning the receiver on either.

This tech is pretty magical when it all works!

XBOX One powers down on its own

    Hi all,

Got a new XBOX One on day one. Worked well for 2 days. Now it won't stay on. Powers up, but interestingly not by voice as of today. When i manually turn it on, it powers up, and then shuts my AV receiver off, then turns it back on again. Get the green
XBOX screen, and eventually get to the homepage where i can move around normally for about 2-5 minutes, then the XBOX one powers off all on its own.

Looked at the power supply - amber when off, and white when on. When it auto-powers off, it goes back to amber. Called MY XBOX, and they say its the power supply, and I've read some of the power supply forums issue posts, but they usually note amber light
when not plugged in, no light on the power supply when plugged in, and that the unit will not power on. I am not having this issue.

I'm wondering if this is a similar issue, or a completely different animal. Anyone else noting these issues?

Samsung TV on/off acting as a toggle

I find this incredibly annoying as well--I wish they would add more control over the exact command to be used for power on/off of tv and audio receiver instead of these power toggles. I want it to use my input source select for the receiver and power on
for tv when it comes on, and power off for both the receiver and tv when it powers off. The toggle is prone to errors when things aren't in a specific state before someone says "xbox on" or "xbox turn off". I also wish if I manually press the power button
on the box if it would just shut that off instead of turning back on my tv/receiver.

Power on/off commands to tv/audio receiver

    Hey there Stiff!

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. I noticed that you're part of the Xbox One preview program. Double check that your TV's firmware is updated and if that doesn't do the trick, you'll want to head over to the

    preview program forums
and check with them there. Preview builds can sometimes have different troubleshooting steps than normal so you'll want to work with them in reporting the issue as well.

    Thanks for understanding. :)

    X1 keeps reverting to 7.1

Had the same issue when turned off, xbox one audio setting reverts to 7.1 uncompressed. Resolved using Logitech Harmony One controller by changing power on options to: 1>Receiver, 2>TV, 3>Xbox. In summary power on xbox one last.
