    I’ve been having connectivity issues for months with my Xbox. In fact, I had even purchased a newer model recently in hopes of this issue stopping. Whether I am playing a game, watching YouTube or streaming a tv show/movie, it kicks me off the internet every 45 minutes or so. No matter what. Lately, it’s actually been even worse. Almost every 15 minutes it’ll disconnect, saying a live internet connection is required. Here’s the kicker: everything else works just fine. My PC, my phone, my SO’s phone and laptop.. no issues whatsoever. Just THE XBOX…

    I spoke with the landlord & she had said no one else reported any connection issues lately, not even over the last few months & she and others work from home in some of the apartments so she would certainly know. I don’t have access to the whole router. The rooms get wifi boosters. So what I can really only do is turn the booster on and then off, which doesn’t work. I tried changing wifi networks, didn’t work. Again, this happens only with the Xbox, and it’s a Series S digital Xbox so it’s a newer model & I can’t figure out why the hell this is happening but I literally cannot do anything. I’ve had Xbox my whole life but my brothers in Christ, I may switch over to Sony because I absolutely don’t have the patience for this anymore. When I go to test multiplayer connection it says I might have trouble connecting to online or multiplayer & it recommends me to change the NAT type off of strict but that’s not something I’m able to do on my end, correct? If it involves the router, I don’t have that access. All I really have is a wifi booster.

    This has been happening for months and only getting progressively worse. I’m ready to yeet Microsoft as a whole out the window at this point

    edit: even sitting at the Home Screen disconnects me LMFAO I just can’t anymore. No other devices have this issue. I lived here for two years and it only started happening 5-6 months ago

    Based on your description, you're experiencing connectivity issues with your Xbox. Based on the information you provided, it seems like the issue might be related to the NAT type. Unfortunately, if you don't have access to the router, you won't be able to change the NAT type yourself.

    However, you can try some troubleshooting steps to see if they help improve the connection:

    Power cycle your Xbox and your router.

    Turn off both devices, unplug them from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug them back in and turn them on.



    Move your Xbox closer to the router or the Wi-Fi booster.

    Sometimes, distance can affect the strength of the Wi-Fi signal.



    Update firmware:

    Check for any firmware updates for your router and Wi-Fi booster. If there are any updates available, install them.



    Try using a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi.

    You can connect your Xbox to the router using an ethernet cable.

    Indew, they all do the same thing. UPnP is the most easy to configure but that will not be related to the wireless signal issue

    Baby monitors, let's not forget baby monitors. Any wireless device within a metre/yard of the Xbox can jam the wireless signal, because if it isn't WiFi but uses the same frequency, it can interfere.
