Having a Home Network for Multiple Consoles to Play the Same Games Together

Home gold will only work for the one console that is set as the Home console. It's not possible to share gold across multiple consoles.

Log in with your account on the console your roommate will be using and make it the Home Xbox, this will let him play your games on it with you not having to log in. Then you can both play online together playing the same game. Just remember you still need
a Gold subscription to play online, even if in the same place.

It's not a good idea to share an account since it does violate the code of conduct. But there's no way to sign into the same account on multiple consoles at the same time in order to play together. You can share games through the Home setting, but you can
only share games on one console at a time. So if you do have kids you would set one console as your Home console, they could access the games from there, then you could sign in and access the games on another console. If you were to have 3 consoles, you would
need to purchase games/gold at least twice in order to share them.

Perhaps, but they need to find a way to expand this. Maybe tie it in to consoles registered tot he person or by consoles connected via the same IP address. Microsoft clearly doesn't understand the multiple console home where playing together but on different
TV's and in different rooms is important.

You can't sign in with the same account and play a game at the same time on multiple platforms. It's also against the rules to share an account anyway.
