Having a bit of a weird issue

I can't figure this out for the life of me and it's starting to grate on my last nerve so I turn to the internet for ideas. I've recently begun having issues with streaming my xbox one to the xbox app on my PC when the xbox is connected via a wired connection.
It's worked fine in the past and I'm not sure exactly when the issue started to occur but nothing I do seems to make the xbox app detect the xbox one when it's wired into the network.

Wireless connection it pops up just fine, auto-detects and everything. As far as I can tell everything is updated it's just not allowing the PC to detect the console at all when it's connected through the ethernet cable. Any help would be appreciated.

Having a bit of a problem.

I recently acquired my own copy of Reach, but before that I had been playing on an old roommate's XBox. I didn't have live at the time, and we would usually play co-op, so it was his profile that had all the save data. When I got my own XBox and transferred
my stuff over, I kept my achievements, but none of the save data, causing me to have to start over again. Whatever, I don't mind.

But! I'm now earning credits disproportionately to my rank. I'm a recruit, but I have achievements up to the rank of Captain, which the game still seems to think I am. Is there a fix for this, or am I just going to have to toil along at a snail's pace to
get back to where I was, rank-wise?

I'd post this over on the 343 Forums to be honest, man, because it sounds like an error on the system's end and only 343 would be able to do anything about it.

 

my best guess would be to connect over ethernet and check to make sure your network discovery is enabled and that your network location is set to home, not public or work(as i believe having is set to work or public will change the firewall rules to block
network discovery.).
