    Change my Windows Live ID

    After the shut down of Office Live Small Business, my custom name email address which my gamertag was attached to has been transferred. To put it simply, I now need to change the Windows Live ID which my gamertag is associated with.

    I understand this is relatively simple on the Xbox 360 console, However I do not have an Xbox, and only use the service on Windows phone 7. How can I transfer my gamertag to another Windows Live ID? Along with the licenses for all the Xbox Live games I have
    purchased on the device?

    Hi there! Let me make sure I understood: you bought a new game and have all the original materials, but the key is telling you that it has already been used? In this case you should talk to the retailer when you purchased it. They should be able to exchange
    it.

    Some specific game servers have shut down recently, but overall, no the 360 servers have not been shut down.

    Sir, that GamerTag has most likely not been recovered since the Xbox 360 era. If this is the case and you try to recover it, it will not allow you to. The reason for this is due to the fact that the original Xbox servers have shut down. There is no servers
    to pull that GT from. Thus, we are now in this issue. If you have not recovered that GamerTag onto an Xbox 360 since the servers shut down then that GT is lost forever sadly.

    Not anytime soon. There has not been an official word on if/when 360 servers would shut down. With backwards compatibility on the One using the 360 servers they're not likely to be shut down anytime soon.

    oh man! ive been wanting to get the hd collection of metal gear on xbox 360 since it adds new things, but the xbox as i mentioned is in a box full of duct tape and i put it away so it would take up less space near my television, i really hope they dont shut it down just yet, otherwise id have to resort to disks.

    The 360 servers have not been shut down and there has never been an official word on if/when they would be shut down, only rumors.

    Does it give any kind of error message when you try to connect? Being used, it's possible it could be banned.
