Every time i want to play a new game on my console, after playing a different game for a couple of hours, it says "for some reason the game took too long to start." this has been happening since the launch of Assassins Creed Unity but its been happening

  2. Have to re-download Minecraft each time I want to play

Hello, I'm looking for help on this. I purchased Minecraft and played, but each time I want to play again it asks me to re-download. I am using a USB drive to store the game, since I don't have storage in my unit.

Is this normal or is there something I can do to keep the game stored locally and play when I want?

I just bouth a Gold Membership and tried to use the cloud storage, but Xbox asks for additional memory in order to use it, so cloud storage apparently is not an option to solve this.

    thanks

    Luis

Have to reset my console each time i want to play a new game

I am having the same problem. Typically I notice this after watching TV (usually for a few hours) through my xbox one. I try to open a different app/game and get the error "...took too long to start". I tried opening the feedback app by holding down the
home button and that really messed things up. My only option is a hard reset to resolve this which is extremely annoying and the only other threads I have found are people suggesting a reset. Any help on this topic would be great.

Xbox Series S / Xbox One signing out issues

I have just bought an Xbox Series S, my son who plays on our account keeps getting logged out when I launch a game on the new console. I need this log on my new console as I have all my previously purchased games. Any ideas? Can I make my sons profile a
child account and if so will that still means if we play at the same time we will keep signing each other out??

Really don’t want to create a new profile!!

Keep having to sign in each time we want to play a game!

Hi, Anna my name is Jhon, and will be a pleasure help you

It's definitely frustrating to have to keep logging in to an Xbox S, especially for a child trying to access games. Let's see what you can do about it:

    Check Settings:

Your husband may have inadvertently set your son's profile to "Require sign-in with a password." On the Xbox, go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & passkey > Sign-in preferences and make sure "Require sign-in with a password" is turned off for your son's profile.

    Use Child Accounts:

If you want additional control over your son's online experience, consider creating a child account within your Microsoft family. This allows you to set spending limits, screen time restrictions, and even approve games and apps before they can be downloaded. With a child account, sign-in requirements can be customized for their profile.

    Use Instant Sign-in:

Enable Instant Sign-in on the Xbox. This allows the console to automatically sign in your son's profile without a password when the controller they use is turned on. However, be aware that anyone using that controller will have access to his profile.

Here's how to enable Instant Sign-in on your Xbox S:

    1. Access the Settings menu:

Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to Profile & system and select Settings.

    2. Go to Account settings:

In the Settings menu, select Account.

    3. Manage Sign-in, security & passkey:

Under the Account menu, choose Sign-in, security & passkey.

    4. Enable Instant Sign-in:

    Select the Instant sign-in option.
If it's not already enabled, toggle the switch to On.

    5. Choose the controller:

You'll be prompted to select the controller that you want to use for Instant Sign-in.
Mark the controller you want to use and press A to confirm.

    6. Confirmation:

You'll see a message indicating that Instant Sign-in is now enabled for the selected controller.

Now, when you turn on the chosen controller, it will automatically sign in to the associated profile without requiring a password.

    Important note:

Keep in mind that anyone who uses that controller will be able to access the associated profile without a password. If you're concerned about security, you may want to disable Instant Sign-in when you're not using the console.

    Manage Account Usage:

Since you purchased the Xbox, you can consider adding your Microsoft account to the console and setting it as the primary account. This gives you administrative control and allows you to set policies for game access and sign-in requirements across all profiles.

    Bonus Tip:

If you primarily use the Xbox for your son's games, consider adding his profile to the home console. This ensures his profile automatically signs in whenever the console is turned on, eliminating the need for additional logins.

I recommend to you watch this youtube video at the same than you are establishing the sign in option
