Have to reboot to recognize disks

Discus and support Have to reboot to recognize disks in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; my brand new Xbox one sometimes doesn't recognize the game disks and the only way to resolve this is to reboot the system.     my brand new Xbox one sometimes doesn't recognize the game disks and the only way to resolve this is to reboot the system. Please advise.

    Check disc error

    I'm getting the same thing. It's like it didn't recognize that Rove changed discs. Very annoying having to hard reboot every time you want to play a different game

    black ops wont install from disk

    Same here. My disk is in great condition and I have no problem reading other disks... It just doesn't recognize black ops

    I had this problem also. I had to hard reboot my xbox after installing data pack one for it to recognize that I owned the physical disk.

    Try this:

    Uninstall Blue-Ray App.

    Go to Settings>Disc and Blu-ray Settings

    Make sure there is a check at 24 hz.

    Scroll down to persistent storage, clear it.

    Go back to the home screen.

    Make sure no disc is in disc drive

    Power cycle console for 10 seconds

    Power drain, and unplug everything

    Wait for the light on PSU to disappear

    Reconnect cables in this order: HDMI (both, if necessary), Kinect, Ethernet (if necessary), Power cord to console and directly to wall, (if possible.)

    Restart console

    Download Blu-Ray player app

    Go to home screen, and test:

    Yeah, I have done all of that. Sometimes a hard reset works, sometimes it doesn't... Looks like I may have to send it in.
